Kromme Mijdrecht
The space
Welcome to a quiet bungalow in the middle of the Green Heart — the Groene Hart — on a small park surrounded by water. Amsterdam and Utrecht are each about half an hour away, and the living room opens onto a deck with a long view toward De Groene Jonker.
The house was recently renovated. The kitchen is new, with an oven, microwave, dishwasher, and a washer-dryer, and it meets the living room at an eating bar for four. The living room itself is about 30 square meters. The bathroom is new as well, with a rain shower.
There is a master bedroom with one double bed, and a second bedroom with two single beds. The second bed sits in a drawer under the first: pull it out and the room becomes a twin room. The park has a tennis court and a large playground, so it works well with children — with one caveat about the water, below.
The water
There is a lot of water in the condominium, so very small children need a watchful eye. The water is only around 30 to 40 centimeters deep, and there have been no known cases of drowning in the entire history of the park since the 1950s.
Getting around
The best way around the region is by bicycle or car. You can reach bus stops in Mijdrecht (5 km) or Uithoorn (9 km). Breukelen train station is about 14 kilometers.
From the park you can see the bicycle bridge toward Mijdrecht. The river in front of the wider landscape is the Kromme Mijdrecht.
Private entrance
You have the bungalow to yourselves, with your own entrance and free parking in front. Edwin likes to welcome you when the timing works; he lives part of the year in Lisbon and will confirm how check-in will go.
